We’re so glad you’re interested in worshipping at Christ UMC! We know you have many options in choosing a place to worship and we appreciate you joining us.

At Christ Church you will be warmly greeted by our Welcome Team. Welcome Team members are in the parking lot and at the entrance to the sanctuary.

Come as you or come in your finest – you’ll see it all. Our worship service is mostly traditional with a sprinkling of contemporary elements. Below are answers to some questions you may have, but feel free to simply ask us for more information that you may need!

Where should I park?

You’re welcome to park anywhere on our campus, but we recommend parking in the shaded lot on the south side of the buildings. This will provide you to the quickest access to the sanctuary.

What type of worship can I expect?

We have traditional worship that uses the United Methodist order of worship. Our pastor and choir member wear robes. We sing hymns accompanied by the organ or piano. We regularly affirm our faith through traditional creeds and have many familiar “traditional” elements to our worship. We also have elements of contemporary worship. As a beach community, we welcome you to come as you are. We have a praise band that leads us in current and familiar praise music. The pastor does not typically preach from the pulpit, and he usually preaches about contemporary issues and every-day life.

What about my kids?

We have a professionally staffed nursery where you can entrust your infant or toddler to great care during the worship service. The nursery is just past the sanctuary entrance and is available for children up to four years old.

If you have children older than four they are invited to join you in worship. You and your child(ren) have the option to either remain with you in worship or to participate in an age-appropriate children's church (for potty-trained preschoolers [ages 4—5th grade]). The children's church service is dismissed from the sanctuary at the completion of the Children's Moment in the worship service.

We encourage your 6th graders and up to remain in worship and worship with their family or friends.

Sunday School:

We have Sunday School classes available for all ages! These classes begin at 9 am. For more information on Sunday School options and locations please explore our Sunday School Page.
